As a fellow Q stan, I'm more than happy with how the album turned out. Well worth the wait. I'm also one of the few that loved Los Awesome from the first play. Jay Rock kills it as usual but I think Q managed to get the upper hand on that track.

can't believe "Californication" with ASAP didn't make the album. shyt is a banger. nez and rio really laced him up nicely although i was dissapointed in the DJ Dahi beat for this album. wasn't feeling this album as much at first but it really grew on me. love every track except for the oxymoron and hoover street, the concept is on point on those tracks but the tracks are just boring for me. i fukk with the rest tho.

Dam Bruh, i'm glad you enjoyed the majority of the album but them tracks are 2 of the best you mentioned!

Hoover Street is the hardest track on the album. Straight gansgta shyt. The that beat alone is piff but Q's vivid rhymes, he kills that track. Feel like I see it all right before my eyes hearing that track.

Prescription / Oxymoron is a powerful track, shyt gets me every single time. I be immersed in them 2 prescription verses and then that beat change and chorus :blessed:

8/10 and I think it will be that for good. Not a classic but a really good debut for homie :obama:

I dunno man. I am extremely enamored with this album. So refreshing hearing some good hard rap on a major label album. shyt thats told from a raw, realistic, believable standpoint not in a posh pretentious way like Rick Ross whom I like.
yeah a lot of these rappers watch too much scarface to come up with lyrics, no conviction whatsoever

p*ssy lips, contraband for chips, sold all kinds of shyt
Hoover Crip, guns on fingertips, switched all kinda clips
50 raised, since my county days, brought all kind of fades
Renegade, fukk what rappers say, bytch, I am LA

this shyts HOARD

I havent felt this way about a release since Watch the Throne. Every song is 10/10 for me...even Los Awesome
Sorry, this shyt don't sound any more authentic to me.

:comeon:

Post a track off Mastermind that sounds as personal and realistic as Hoover Street or Prescription/Oxymoron ....a few things he said bout his family happened in mine
Mastermind? nikka, ross got six albums and a bunch of mixtapes. ANd you're naming two of dude's songs. I listened to his whole album front to back and shyt was the same ole shyt. That shyt wasnt deep. And I dont look at ross as the personification of being authentic either. But NOTHING about schoolboy makes me feel like woah this is so much more interesting. Just cause he comes off more as a dusty bum ass nikka doenst mean he sounds realer.
