album is still a solid 6/10 though, probably the weakest tde album since 2011

Again, I did not say ANYTHING about the album. Don't run around putting thoughts and words into other peoples mouths then turn around and try to argue. That's real corny. I find it comical that youre making a bunch of posts in here hating isn't "getting upset" but someone asking you why you keep talking about an album you don't like is "getting upset"

The point is if anyone is feeling a certain type of way or catching feelings about this album it's you, not everyone else you are asking.

I can't believe y'all expected GKMC from Q, wtf. I saw and read the interviews where he said that, and first, it's Q, so he didn't mean that in a literal sense, you could tell he meant it in te of making a dope (classic) album FOR HIM...not a kendrick style dope album. Secondly, Q has never had the lyrical skill, or so g complexity if kendrick, surely that's not what you expected when he made that comment

Q said this album would be a QUALITY album, he said he wanted his album to be classic and to be like gkmc (quality wise).

This is clearly not and the general disappointment has nothing to do with this album not sounding like gkmc but it has everything to do with this album being average/decent

Haven't heard it yet. Sadly a lot of comments in here have turned me off. I went on youtube to listen to that neptunes produced song and was H&C was meh to me.

Kendrick set the bar high. But his project was guided by Dr. Dre. who was the executive producer for this album? Was Dre involved?

Dre did nothing for kendrick. and he wrote his album before S80 (before he met Dre)

Yeah I'm bumping some of it now and it sounds like a typical q project. I've always considered him a slightly above average artist so I wasn't expecting gkmc 2. I think expectations impact on how people view this album. I'm enjoying it cause i wasn't expecting a Grammy award worthy album. I just wanted dope music to bump I think those with Kendrick expectations will be let down but they should've known what to expect

The best "rapping" aspect about Q was his flow (See Druggys Wit Hoes). It's a shame that Q came out with a "less than expected" album. I expected him to get the "It's not better than GKMC" backlash but not to this extent. niccas making Memes of this album like he Wale.

Finally gave it a 2nd & 3rd listen. Honestly it's underwhelming imo. It's just aight. Cilvia Demo way better than this and I'm judging it by TDE standards cause it's been nothin but dope projects coming out of the camp for the past 2-3 years. Q hyping it up so much in terms of saying it's better than Kendrick project certainly doesn't help and also The constant push backs. H&C is just light years better than Oxymoron. My expectations was just high cause of TDE's track record so far.

This whole project is just nothing but Q making noise with those ad-libs he do The album just random which is surprising cause TDE projects are known to be very well structured. What disappointed me the most though was there was no A$AP Rocky feature they are money in the bank every time they collab

I like a few songs on here my fav was the Oxymoron title track that beat is dope but this is just a forgettable album at the end of the day

Well you know schoolboy q said it would be on GKMC level in an interview, maybe that's why we are saying what we're saying.

If Gucci Mane said he'll drop a GKMC-level album today would you take his word as gospel? Ok so you hold Schoolboy to a higher standard, but that's totally on you. Rappers say all the time their albums are the best, their albums are better, etc. Usually most of the time it's just bullshyt fodder. This is a disappointing album only if you expected GKMC, and the funny thing is nobody foresaw Kendrick dropping a 5 mic classic like good kid was, so it should tell you that expectations are nothing but nonsense, let alone expectations of a "classic".
