I’m :flabbynsick: and used Microsoft Office in school growing up.

Noticing that a lot of our kid’s (elementary school) assignments, communication etc uses Google Docs.

Should I get them Chromebooks for home to learn the basics of computing/documents. Or a Windows-based system with Office? Or both?
:lupe:

My fellow :flabbynsick: what approach are y’all talking?

Google docs is similar to Microsoft Office...the great thing about google docs is that it can download a document into word, download a spreadsheet into excel, and download a presentation into PPT

Google docs also allows multiple ppl to work on a document, and keeps track of version changes...Google docs is a great tool for school and work

My office loves Microsoft but I am slowly but surely showing them the benefits of google docs

Yup

My Son Is In A Charter School And They Send All Documents Through An App Called ParentSquare, All The Docs Are Google And The Older Kids Get Chromebooks To Use

Modern Schooling Is Crazy Cause The Teachers Send Photos And Messages Through The App As Well, Makes It Hard To Fukk Around In School lol
