Hanging em up
generation lost is what we are in now.
even when there is a photo, an observation is being made.....there doesn't have to be a human there but a measurement has to be made......then the program renders the environment once a measurement is taken.......if no measurement is taken then it doesn't render the environment
there are many experiments talking about this....the most simple is the double slit experiment......read up on it......stated simply it says that when a conscious observer is NOT looking matter behaves as a probabilistic wave function......that is it doesn't exist as an actual object but just as math.....however once there is an observation made the wave function collapses to form particles that make up everything we see around us
the double slit experiment and all other experiments like it show that particles behave differently when we are not looking......it was because of this aspect of quantum mechanics that Einstein found troubling....he is quoted famously as asking his friend physicist Neils Bohr if he really believes that the Moon disappears when no one is looking at it......Bohr responded "how do you know the Moon exists when no one is looking at it"![]()
could you explain? how could self-awareness preclude the fact we are in a simulation?
what you think is self-awareness is simply the result of electrical signals firing in your brain.....if I turned off those neurons you wouldn't be self-aware.....if I could copy those firings and simulate them in a computer.....why would I not be able to make a simulated being feel the same sense of self-awareness?
.
.Actually, the double slit experiment has to do with diffraction due to the wave/particle duality of things like light and electrons. Pretty recently, people have come up with a way around this by modifying the wave function of a beam of particles so that they don't diffract and can actually re-converge after passing around an obstacle.
A team at the University of Vienna in Austria, however, announced they completed the experiment using very large molecules instead of photons.
The research team used heavy molecules made up of 56 atoms and 114 atoms, which is noteworthy because not only did complex molecules behave like a wave, but because the complex molecules change their shape when passing through the slit.
we really do live in a simulation brehs
I hate talking about stuff like this when I'm high, it makes me want to kill myself just so I can see if I'm really alive or not and if there's a heaven and hell

b-b-b-b-but god cant exist
unless your religion teaches God is a computer programmer you need to STFUthe simulation theory might support the existence of a creator/God who wrote the program of the universe.....

unless your religion teaches God is a computer programmer you need to STFU
all religions are nonsense because they are created by man and have no evidence supporting them.....the simulation theory might support the existence of a creator/God who wrote the program of the universe.....but that doesn't mean this programmer is any of the thousands of Gods different human cultures have created......or that this programmer actually cares about our actions and will judge us in some "afterlife"
if this programmer wanted us to know about him, then he did a pretty bad job since human cultures have created thousands of different "Gods"
