It would be nice if they geeks could use their intellect for solving some of humanity's issues on this planet instead of fukking with aliens.

I think they try but then they get pushback from ppl who deny evolution and think the world is flat.

If a species has the ability to travel to universe, I don't really see why they'd be concerned with Earth or our solar system.
When considering resources, you would figure that they would have the tech to mine uninhabited planets and asteroids near by. If you're to look at resources, I'd expect a species able to travel the universe to have robots.
I think the biggest concern would be a rogue AI.
