First of all, I give them props for all their efforts and I think it's a great move. The article unfortunately was not very informative. First question to ask is how to they plan to make money/be profitable? Let's review some of the mentions:
Lewis looks to take market share away from companies like Uber, Lyft, and GrubHub by positioning ScoopM as focused on safety. Lewis’ rideshare company requires mandatory FBI screenings, interviews, and random drug tests for its drivers. The cars also have ScoopM decals and LED lights identifying the vehicles. There are also interior and exterior cameras, as well as a panic button.
Take market share away from Uber, how? what's your strategy? Please don't tell me it's security because uh not really
Who will paying for the cost of these drug screenings? background checks and interviews how? in person? every city? how much will that cost?
Cameras? How many drivers will want permanently installed cameras in their vehicles? What about the part time driver who uses the family Camry?

Benefits and higher pay for their drivers? At whose expense? Won't that translate into higher cost for the customer? At the end of the day,. I give the guys, his team their props and wish them the best but I have a hard time seeing this being successful in the long run. For this reason, I am out!

People are willing to pay for peace of mind
Who are said people? Anybody not taking an Uber because of safety fears most likely isn’t going to use this either. Their minds are made up and just saying they are FBI screened isn’t going to change that

Neither do I, but I imagine the number of incidents involving ride share drivers under the influence to be so statistically low as to make this kind of precaution unnecessary. I wouldn’t work for a company that would test me for drugs. However, since it’s a black business that’s seemingly making positive moves for our community, I hope they succeed. :yeshrug:

Should have just said that in your first post then .

Couldn’t help it could you cac
