I can't remember how many times I heard before the draft: "If Wemby wasn't in this draft, Scoot would go #1" :mjlol:
Yeah I'ma eat my humble pie and admit I was one of these people. I will also admit I was one of these people making these bold claims without having watched a single one of his g-league games. Folks looked like a killer in High School:yeshrug:

Smaller guards that cannot shoot a basketball will always take longer to develop if they ever develop at all....too many old nikkas still thinking this is 1995 with the way they view prospects that can run and jump and do nothing else from a skill perspective

they just needed more prime time games. The coli said so :mjcry:
they don't develop players at all. it's glorified AAU. the edge it had was paying players, but with NIL, thats not really an issue. And the fact that they were getting their asses kicked every game last season, Silver was like that's enough of this.

If you can't shoot at any position in the NBA, it's over. Guard, wing, big...doesn't matter. Eventually, your time is up.

give him time
Next season for him will be make or break. Point guard position is very competitive.

Most of great players who went to NBA with zero college experience were already showing good results in sophomore year, if given as many minutes as Henderson is receiving right now.

I'm surprised Chauncey can't teach him a thing, as Chauncey himself has been a journey man in his first 4 seasons going from one team to another looking OK at best. You think he could teach another guard how to get better. Or maybe Henderson is that bad.

Chauncey could shoot unlike Scoot
