Wiseman a bigger bust because it basically closed the window on the Warriors era, they threw away a #2 pick that the coach/GM didn't even want to draft, the owner pushed that Wiseman shyt on them.Probably the biggest bust of the 2020s.
Wiseman was a roll of the dice during Covid. Expectations weren't that high.
Some contrarian mfs were saying Scoot was a more sure thing than Wemby![]()
Injuries have really derailed his career so I dunno his long term future in Portland. Dame will be back next year and they've had success running Avidja at point as well. He's not a good player, but that year's NBA draft wasn't that great. Wemby and Miller were selected before him who are obviously better players...but then look at the rest of guys outside of top 3:
Thompson brothers - both are better players
but the rest of them guys? In kind of a same tier as Henderson.
So I am not sure we can even call him a bonafide draft bust. You are supposed to have several guys drafted below you to do significantly better than you to be considered a bust.

We as a people should no longer hype athletic point guards if we are moving to the rings>>>> everything category.
No athletic point guard has ever won a title
the other thing with him is even when healthy his athleticism doesn't look anything close to what it was hyped up to be pre-draftI will never move from this hill

I just know to always bet against the archetypeSo Jamal Murray not athleticI will never move from this hill
