That doesn't always work out for the movie that gets released first.
Deep Impact came out a few months before Armageddon; both movies were about asteroids heading towards Earth but Armageddon still won the battle at the box office.
The Illusionist tried the same tactic against The Prestige but The Prestige still ended up being more successful.

Also perhaps Batman being nothing but the batjet, the batmobile and gadgets and storyline perhaps all that plus pure action cinematics is exactly what Batman needs!

Plus Afleck is not that great of an actor.

why this dude keep acting like this hercules movie is a big deal ....when i first saw the trailer i thought the shyt was going straight to on demand then a few weeks later i saw the trailer on tv and was like ....scott been my dude since undisputed 2 but being in a movie with a fukking twilight supporting actor as the lead is not wats hot in the streets

Feel bad for Adkins, Undisputed 3 made me a fan and then I went back and saw part 2.

Scott Adkins is awesome but he doesn't have enough star power to get a role like that, and hiring him to be the fight/stunt double of Batman would be too brilliant a move for these clowns.
