nah. thats definitely not true. KRS was already a member of Celebrity 3 so he was in a group rapping before he met Scott. iirc they were recording on 4-track before he got with Scott. yeah, Scott took him to another level faster because of the connections, mainly Ced Gee who Scott got to produce most of the album. When KRS split from Celebrity 3 he nearly became a member of Ultramag because they were recording at the same house. KRS was a talented MC who very well was likely to succeed whether then or later. Remember, it was almost Eric B and Freddie Foxxx and not Eric B and Rakim, that doesnt mean Ra wouldnt have made it.

That's ironic either way he would've been connected to known Strong Arm Robbers, and the even funnier thing is that Eric B. got bagged on a warrant while Freddie and Rakim are free despite all the dirt they did back in the day.

It is true. KRS-One was not an professional artist, with a product in stores, until after Scott La Rock created a company and made him a part of it. He never made an income from music until he met DJ Scott La Rock.

Again I only deal with facts, not hypothetical scenarios and "what ifs". The fact is KRS-One was living in a homeless shelter, when a known DJ met and took a liking to him. That DJ started a company with the homeless young man, invested his time and money into him and took him to new heights.

So going by established history, DJ Scott La Rock started Boogie Down Productions and the first album that KRS-One was featured on was by Boogie Down Productions (Criminal Minded), not by KRS-One. BDP was the platform that Scott and KRS created that allowed KRS to even have a lane to push KRS-One the solo MC.

So no DJ Scott La Rock = No Boogie Down Productions = No KRS-One

Doggie put Bully up there on the couch to slander D-Block like they didn't give him a million shots to stink up those tapes. He didn't make it so go to Doggie Diamonds to bash em.

It was poor taste and people got at Doggie about it, giving a spot to disgruntled Do-Nothings who blame the world for their own fukups.. Doggie Diamonds took it down then said get this he took it down because he showing more character than Vlad. He said he was expecting them to do interviews and lift him up(D-Block) since he took it down, so they should hold him down since he did that :hhh: petty extortion. Then when he didn't get any interviews or anything he says "They ain't loyal (because they weren't boosting him and helping his channel grow, so he put the Bully badmouth Video back up. Like he was holding an Ace or something. Dude comes off as miserable, always has and he attracts miserable people. He expecting people to come to him and he charging people to interview them. :russ:

Excuse after excuse for a man that has exhibited poor character. And you are making a Strawman argument once again. fukk it let's take all financial compensation out of the picture. No one is obligated to adopt another person's child.
They never even gave him a chance to be turned off by him and his "attitude" that you keep projecting your personal feelings on to.
You have just saw him speak for the first time, in a 10 minute interview about something that has bothered him for 30 years. You can't accurately judge his character from this.
Actions speak louder than words and hypothetical scenarios.

The only facts that we have at this point are the actions of KRS-One.

The fact is KRS-One has never done anything for his deceased friend's only child.
Not an ice cream when he was 5.
Not a starter jacker when he was 10.
Not renting him a limo for his prom when he was 16.
Not a pair of Jordans for his 18th birthday.
And this kid lived in the same borough that KRS did the entire time.

The man never stopped by and had a 20 minute big bro / uncle conversation with the son of the man that gave him a career.

The Bronx dedicated and named a street after DJ Scott La Rock (Kingsbridge and Jerome), an amazing thing for any musician, especially one from NYC that had such a short mainstream run. Scott La Rock Jr., D-Nice, DJ Red Alert, DJ Jazzy Jay, the Ultramagnetic MC’s Ced Gee, Grand Wizard Theodore all showed up to celebrate his legacy being stamped by the City Of New York.

You know who wasn't there? KRS-One

How the fukk doesn't KRS-One show up to a city funded ceremony dedicated to naming a street in DJ Scott La Rock's name to honor his memory and legacy?

What excuse can you make for the man who "kept DJ Scott La Rock's name alive after his death" not being there for such a momentous occasion?
He made time to show up to every event that honored that known pedophile Bambatta over the last 3 decades.

He didn't show up to the naming ceremony because he was scared to run into Scott's friends and family. Because then he would have to answer as to why he went ghost on the family after Scott's death.
This is normal crab behavior in the hood, nikkas getting RIP shirts for dead homies and throwing memorial parties in their name but never going to check on their children.

It's just this time the foul person is a hip hop legend.
Thanks for saving me the time. 150% this. nikka held you in a video as a baby, reps your pop's, who put him on, name for decades, and you don't see him until you're 29-30? And you had to run up on him? He's looking shaky AF, more so after the Bambaataa debacle. D-Nice is that nikka.
