Scott Pilgrim EX (2026) - PC, Switch, PS5, Xbox Series

Nah it's an original story...the only elements I can imagine are the slight character redesigns and some of Ex-BFs being heroic characters now.
I've only played with Scott so far.

It has that Metroidvania type beat-em up open world when you can don't just go right, you can always come back left and open a new location or quest later.

Yeah but it’s an unofficial sequel to Scott Pilgrim Takes Off.(which was awesome)

Scott Pilgrim is the closest game that gave me that River City Ransom feeling.

Over River City Girls? River City Underground on Steam was supposed to restore that feeling, but It got stuck on Steam and never got finished the last I checked on it a few years back. I liked the first, but the guys that made this one (Same cats who did the last TMNT Shredder's Revenge and Marvel Cosmic invasion) been on to something awesome and I feel like this should be too even though I tried and didn't care for the lore of Scott Pilgrim when it blew up those years back.​

Most definitely. River City Girls 1 was flames to me and the only reason I didn't pick up 2 immediately, is 'cause when it launched the FPS was all fukked up and not fluent like the first, but I think that has since been fixed.​

So they got the Framerate issue fixed all across the board?
Cause my Bro bought it day 1 and it ran like shyt and he was on PC. Heard the same for console, that's why I never copped 2, which was a shame 'cause if 2 is better than 1, then I REALLY need to get down on that shyt.
Ain't had that much fun since Streets came through and crushed the buildings, restoring the feeling.​

Yeah they patched those framerate issues a few months after release if I remember correctly. The game runs smooth with drop-in/ out co-op.

So far this is way more polished but the music and bosses in the first game were way more memorable.
