Yeah is overall production paled in comparison to Timbaland and Dr. Dre's. His melodies and musicianship keep him afloat

Even Tim said Scott was at his best under Dre and him.

The problem, and i think dre has addressed this (and obviously Tim)... Was that he should have stayed under their wing. He had the audacity to do his own thing, not just production wise (that was fine), but thinking he had an eye for talent.

If we really being 100 about this... Storch was an above average producer at best, who used his association with Dre, and emulating Dre's sound to rack up hits....... but all that changed once he went solo and started playing with his nose.

Dre is the most overrated.

no producer has the body of work that Dre does....nor can they claim that they've produced albums that literally changed the face of hip hop, multiple times.

naturally, Dre is overated...because he's the producer best associated with 4 of the biggest hip hop acts ever.
