You realize the cost to build, upkeep, staff, and eminent domain suits would bankrupt the government?

We have the same security issues faced in the north as we have from the south. Walls won't solve the issues, we need well thought out long term investment in our southern neighbors. At the end of the day this is truly a racial issue and to frame it as anything else is misguided. not a word is said about non Hispanic illegal immigrants or otherwise.

Imo its a trade issue. NAFTA caused this flood of illegals. They arent even coming from mexico anymore, the majority are from newly liberalized central america.

I'd leave the border as it is in the south. From there just continue with a temporary residency thing Obama's admim had done. Create more jobs, reduce import from China.

Of course at the core of this issue perception wise is hate for Brown People. It was not even a 1 percent big deal when all those white cubans flooded Miami illegally esp in the early 80s. Hell they literally imported criminals in that case. Since they were white, no big deal.

Here is the irony of that situation

We help Mexico/Central America/South America, the same muhfukkas complaining about "keep them out" will be complaining about the competitive products coming from those regions.

Instability south of our border is in the best interest of the US economy.
