Still hard to believe he never won it
As a person who watched the majority of his career and damn near 100% of the games he played during the bulls championship runs and during the MJ retirement year and 1/2.

Pip should have absolutely won the defensive player of the year one of those years.

He should've won it in 1995. He anchored the Bulls to the #2-rated defense in the league with a very weak defensive personnel around him -- no good rebounders, post defenders, rim-protectors or interior defenders on the team that year in a big man era.

It's the only time in NBA history that a perimeter player was able to anchor an elite defense under those circumstances.

Pippen had an argument in every year from 1994-97, but '95 was his best case, in my opinion.
