Man just stop with the BS. Pippen is not the same tier bball talent as MJ

Of course he wasn't but he should have been. His skills were greater than Michael's. He just didn't have the same drive.

Michael could not even dribble with his left hand more than 1 or 2 dribbles for years. He didn't have the three point shot for years. Pippen had all that out the gate.

Yes Mike is the greatest ever but it's like running back. Emmitt has all the records, but your eye test tells you who were/are better runners. I say Faulk is better than Emmitt.

Who cares?

People confuse versatility with actual effectiveness.

Being good at a variety of skills is great but it's not always better than being elite in one skill.

Jordan's left hand wasn't a weakness because he was so damn smart and fast that he could pretty easily get separation in a dribble or two to clear space for his pull-up.

Pippen's skills didn't have nearly as much value as Jordan being able to score at will.

Pippen was a more versatile defender and had better court vision in half court sets but that's about it.

How would MJs perception be viewed had Scottie gotten past those Knicks and went on to beat the Pacers to get to the finals?

I have ALWAYS said that call probably changes the dynamic of how we view Michael Jordan today. Pippen's value has long been undervalued

this may have been what the ref had in mind when he made that call.

its no coincidence that the media does their best to not acknowledge that run without MJ. sometimes they act as if the bulls were a lotto team when he was gone.

We don't know if they would have won game 6 though, that's why i say hypothetical.

The ONLY thing I'm saying Wack is that the series wasn't over after Game 5. THAT'S IT.

i dont think you realize how pivotal a call that was and the big difference between being up 3-2 and down 2-3.

they got f*cked.

Stop it breh. He's Grant Hill and Pippen with more strength. And Oscar Robertson with more athleticism

You are a limited linear person with skewed view on reality..

Was Oscar and Grant Hill 6'8 260 with speed and power and the ability to handle the ball as well as ridiculous vision and the innate ability to pass?

Oscar was 6'5.. He was a guard... Nothing special about being a 6'5 guard

Grant Hill was a standard 90s SF 6'8 215..

Lebron is 6'8 260

:what:

No..

Everyone saw the call. I think your point would be more valid in my opinion if the Bulls lost the next game. But they didn't.

You just compared Mosgov to Shaq when he was putting up 20 & 10 in 30 minutes and commanding double teams? :mjlol:

Shaq was a year removed from being #2 in MVP voting
he wasn't putting up anywhere close to those numbers :mjlol:

he was scoring the single digits on multiple occasion during those finals

Uh.... expect you're wrong. He put up 20 & 10 leading up to the Finals during that playoff run

Mavs doubled him all series and let Wade eat and he still put up 14 & 10.

and he put up 20 & 9 in the regular season

Youre just dead ass wrong

You compared him to Mosgov :mindblown:

Not reading through this thread... but in a lot of ways he's right.

Pippen was an all court player, who you could have guard almost any position, he was potentially devastating on both ends of the floor and in transition, and you could run the offense through him as a point guard, or off the wing.

That sounds a lot like LeBron.

Defensively, yes, Pippen was like the prototype for Lebron.

But Bron is a better 3 point shooter, was more athletic, a better rebounder and a better passer.

I would actually say Grant Hill was more like Bron before bBon, but he messed up his ankle right when he started to develop a 3.
