What a narrative,..... MJ was 28 yrs old out there feasting on old azz 30 yr olds and dudes his same age. Those dudes were in their athletic prime or at least should've been. MJ had really just started working out like that to get stronger to be able to take the punishment Detroit was dishing out. The bulls beat them because they stood up to the "bully ball" not because they were old. And really they never really stopped Jordan even with the "Jordan Rules" he still got his numbers. His team just finally started to "gel" and they made quick work of Detroit. And even the series they won against Chicago previously were hard fought it ain't like they were just running through them like that. If either Pippen or Grant had been ready in 89-90 the Bulls win and we're talking about 4 or 5 straight rings before the 1st retirement.
1989 if the Bulls meet LA the easily beat that Lakers team with a hobbled Magic
1990 if the Bulls meet Portland that particular year it's curtains for the Blazers and that was a tough squad I say that's the only finals where the Bulls go to game 7. But they still win it
