Another casual ass poster, Steph avg 17ppg his first year in the league, Klay didn't get drafted until 2 years later, and the other time Steph avg 14ppg a game was in the 2011/2012 season where he only played 26 games.. go ahead and keep posting so you can ride this neg train

Thanks you're making my point

How did I make your point? The year he avg 14 is the same year Klay was drafted plus Steph on played 26 games that season due to ankle injuries...

Steph rookie season 2009- 17ppg
Second year -2010 18ppg
2011(Klay drafted/Steph got hurt) 14ppg
2012 - 23ppg
2013 - 24ppg
2014 - 24ppg
2015 - 30ppg
2016 - 25ppg

Now let's take the 2 years Klay wasn't there when Monte Ellis was the 2 guard.. Steph was averaging damn near 20ppg so to say if Klay wasn't there he would avg 14ppg a game is clown shyt when the stats prove you wrong

The nikka just 3 peated into the finals from the west. He might not be Lebron level but nikkas just hating. And of course curry haters will agree with some old heads because it fits their narrative. I'm pretty sure a bunch of dusty nikkas sitting around who used to be in the league thinking if they were in their prime they'd sweep this entire nba league including lebron like its nothing. That's just their old head mentality. Just because their opinion holds more weight than the average person don't make it actually true.

You posting the post-klay numbers makes my point. You are agreeing with my main point. Re-read my post and you will see you are literally making my point stronger

Bruh I'm not talking about post Klay numbers I'm talking specifically Curry's first 2 years when Klay wasn't there.. Curry avg nearly 20ppg his first so that makes your point invalid as you said Curry would only avg 14ppg a game if Klay wasn't there..

Didn't matter if Klay was there or not, Curry's first 2 years was an indication he was improving every year before Klay got to the warriors

The Warriors don't even bother having Steph guard the other teams high powered PG they put Klay on them :scust:

In the Finals last year they made GSW switch to get Steph on Kyrie so Kyrie could crack him.

If Steph is not making mad 3s how is he dominant?

Kyrie doesn't guard other teams, "high powered point guard" IT doesn't. Dame gets hidden on defense a lot. How many PG's actually do that well? Basketball has coaches for a reason. I sigh reading some of you nikkas post. I know I troll when it comes to the Lebron shyt, but gotdamn some of you actually believe some of the dumbshyt y'all be saying it's like logic and context does not exist.

Nah, because he became healthier and just improved (like many players did).

His breakout season was 2013: 23 PTS / 4 RBS / 7 AST on 45/45/90 splits.

Klay wasn't even averaging 17 that time, the 2nd option was David Lee.

If anything, Klay benefitted the most from Curry.

Dominant, at least to me, is a player you can plug into any squad and become an instant contender. Shaq, LeBron, Jordan, etc.

If you genuinely think that you can put Stephen Curry onto any team in the league and they're finals bound you're lying to yourself. Him and the current Golden State setup are a match made in heaven and I'm sure Steph knows that as well as I do.

The aforementioned three players were taking dirt squads to the Playoffs in their young years while Steph was struggling to win 30 games in a season. It's really not even a comparison. Steph has definitely gotten BETTER but his ascension very conveniently coincides with the mass improvement of his team, the hiring of a Top 3 coach, and a Golden State system that boosts his offensive strengths while having the personnel to mask his defensive weaknesses.

Excellent point that I always try to stress on objective people. Russell took a Kings equivalent squad to the playoffs..He impacted a large number of Thunder games simply by sheer will. I can point to 5 clear examples this year of games OKC should've lost but Russ really took the reigns and didn't let it happen. Steph Curry being The Man every night outside of a accommodating system would possibly not even have the physical endurance to sustain. I would say this is Steve Nash all over again but Steve's selling point was he could always give shyt the smell of sugar

Can someone break down to me how Steph was sonned when they won the championship?

He averaged 26/6/5 on 45% shooting that series. He was the single most important reason why his team A) made it to the finals to begin with and B) won it

There was a VERY STRONG case for Curry winning MVP over Iggy. I think Iggy only won because he managed to play solid defense on the guy with the best stats in the series.

You can't neutralize someone who can comfortably pull up from 30+ with handles. Stop it Joe.

Pedestrian numbers compared to what the titans of the game have done. The fact that there was even an argument between who deserved MVP says everything you need to know. Steph Curry is the sole reason Delly is able to send money back to Australia. Either you watched that series or you were busy and read the box score.
