Be considered dominant while not being athletic at all and getting sonned 2 years in a row on the biggest stage brehs

:mjlol:

Steph Curry is NOT DOMINANT. He has a certain aspect of his game the can be dominant but he can be neutralized.

You can't be a dominant player in my opinion and not have a physical component to your game

Can someone break down to me how Steph was sonned when they won the championship?

He averaged 26/6/5 on 45% shooting that series. He was the single most important reason why his team A) made it to the finals to begin with and B) won it

There was a VERY STRONG case for Curry winning MVP over Iggy. I think Iggy only won because he managed to play solid defense on the guy with the best stats in the series.

You can't neutralize someone who can comfortably pull up from 30+ with handles. Stop it Joe.

Dominant, at least to me, is a player you can plug into any squad and become an instant contender. Shaq, LeBron, Jordan, etc.

If you genuinely think that you can put Stephen Curry onto any team in the league and they're finals bound you're lying to yourself. Him and the current Golden State setup are a match made in heaven and I'm sure Steph knows that as well as I do.

The aforementioned three players were taking dirt squads to the Playoffs in their young years while Steph was struggling to win 30 games in a season. It's really not even a comparison. Steph has definitely gotten BETTER but his ascension very conveniently coincides with the mass improvement of his team, the hiring of a Top 3 coach, and a Golden State system that boosts his offensive strengths while having the personnel to mask his defensive weaknesses.
breh I really really disagree with this idea that Bron makes any team a contender :francis: a playoff contender sure, but I'd argue that if you plug Steph into any squad they'd become contenders too. :manny:

Well what I mean was even during he first chip he was neutralized. I shouldn't of said sonned.

But he was neutralized.

Last year he was sonned though :mjlol:

None of those 3 guys make ANY team a contender on their own. No 1 player can do that no matter how good they are. This needs to stop being said lol.

Neutralize: to make (something) ineffective; counteract; nullify:

Steph Curry 2015 finals:

26 PPG
6 APG
5 RPG
2 SPG

:dahell:

He was being measured against LeBron's stat line which was incredible but not entirely a fair comparison. That nikka was the ONLY OPTION on the team. Curry did not need to play like that for his team to win.

nikkas forget it was so rough for LeBron out there the media started hyping up Matthew Dellavedova as his sidekick :pachaha:

What Scottie meant is that Curry can't impact every facet of the game like a physical specimen that is normally what we consider all time great talents. He can't go and get 15 rebounds or be a one man wrecking crew on defense. And he can be physically overwhelmed by bigger double teams. Basically he is saying Curry lacks the physical traits to dominate an entire game besides scoring, i.e. being the best performer on the floor in a high level game but scoring only like 18. I don't necessarily agree but I think that's what he meant.

You can't plug Jordan, Lebron, or Shaq on ANY team and make them an instant contender. You still need a certain type of supporting cast around them to cover their weaknesses and to capitalize on double and triple teams. Bron wasnt winning shyt without a gang of shooters and at least one other star playmaker. Or he never would have left Cleveland the first time...

Listen cut all the bullshyt.

If you watched the last 2 Finals Steph was unable to impose his will in either of them. Now you can be on some nerd shyt and throw stats at me with no context for daps but it's not gonna work.

He was unable to impose his will in either series because he has no physical component to his game that would make him dominant. He has that phenomenal jumper but he was neutralized.

Not to mention the fact that he couldn't fukk with the young gawd Kyrie who was comin for him

:wow:

Everytime Shaq went to the finals he had another great wing player.

It always seems that guys that make a career as great shooters dont get the respect that other scorers(slashers, post up scorers etc.) get. Reggie miller scored all those points in seconds versus the knicks but is often recognized as "one of the greatest shooters ever" instead of "one of the all time greatest players"
Sounds about right to me

he's saying you have to build a perfect team around steph unlike true greats lebron jordan etc

Perfect team? :gucci:According to the Coli Draymond is trash so he basically won 67 games and a championship and then 73 games then next year with Klay Thompson as his side kick and some good role players. Doesn't really seem like a perfect team. :mjlol:
