Thats what was missing there was minimal interaction with Tatum and her friends for us to care about them. Did way better with the Core 4

The kids in this movie were TRASH

S4 & S5 did a much better job with the new generation

you seriously don't even care about the new characters. Absolutely no development for them and they had no charisma. None of them. So when they were to die, you didn't care about them. One thing that's crazy is how whomever puts on the mask and thobe instantly becomes faster, stronger, and fight skills on 99. Maybe the new Scream movies will become supernatural like the F13 series when Jason became a zombie .

There's been three movies recently that I saw in theaters with 100% good faith, that even if they were not that great, I would have fun with them, but I left each of them with the sense that they weren't only bad movies, but a different kind of movie. The I Know What You Did Last Summer remake, The Housemaid, and Scream 7.

They didn't feel real. The set design and lighting were off. The shots were bland. The writing felt like Tik Tok and Reddit. They gestured at things like feminisim, domestic abuse, trauma in the most cloying and superficial ways. The characters delivered lines that no human would ever say. META is one thing, but these were almost breaking the 4th wall. I Am Sidney fukking Prescotts daughter. They felt like Marvel movies with the fan service. They all made me feel old.

Scream 7 lost all of what made any of those movies good. Like Urban Legend 2: Final Cut is not a great movie, but it's scarier, and more fun than this. And easily so.

Did anyone else notice how the exterior shots of the house looked like a simple 3 bedroom house, and the interior was this vast maze with a panic room and remodeling work being done?

I don't like to say that a movie is trash, but IKWYDLS sequel may be the worst sequels I've seen at the theater the past 10 years. That film was truly terrible and bad characters

This movie wasn't it, but I still liked it better than part 3. I'm not a fan of having untouchable characters. A franchise should be able to carry go on without the original characters in place every movie.
