I dont think theres a bad movie in the franchise. I can watch and enjoy them all

5 and 6 were fine. They had their flaws, but they were still enjoyable. I didn't buy the killer reveals for 6 and how they tied to a killer from 5. But, won't let that logic ruin the movie for me. Scream is going through the same problem that the Halloween franchise had overall. Halloween never wanted to branch off Laurie/Michael and kept bringing back JLC. Scream can't let go of Sydney & Gail and they should move far away from these two. Even with 5 & 6 they were still rooted in Sydney's story. Be nice if we could just get some new shyt going with Ghostface masks and similar vibes. You don't need Sydney you don't need Gail. You don't need to tie this back to Billy. And I say this as someone that is a fan of the Cult of Stu theories.

But, I would have been fine if 5 was the star of something completely new and had nothing to do with anyone we've previously seen in the series. The franchise is always going to get my money. But, would like to see them get out of the box.

Weird comparison but yeah it kinda reminded how The Tejadas in Power Book 2 should’ve been their own original show/series.

It’s rare that you get a cast that comes in and not only lives up to the previous incarnation of something great but in some people’s eyes even surpasses it.
