so folks that dont watch the show commenting in the thread about this?
i guess people dont understand how stupid that sounds. you take time out to discuss something you dont watch?
So...if I don't watch a press conference with the President saying he wants to bomb Syria and I find out about it by reading the Times or in a forum, I can't be against it because I didn't watch him say it? :rudy: :mindblown:

either:
1. You won't answer that.

2.you'll be stupid enough to imply that I"m putting the President and SAS shoulder to shoulder rather than how news travels being my focus.

Don't you get how STUPID YOU SOUND NOW?

Sure it's been corrected, but dude made the argument that black QB's are perceived as good because of their athleticism, not their minds/arm (a la manning/brady) which is absolutely true. So much of the media focuses on the athleticism of these QB's, just last season were they forced to lean back a bit and look at the cerebral And passing capabilities of these dudes. This was absolutely correct, no c00ning took place, op should listen to the debate before making threads. And if you think Jamarcus didn't have whites sitting back on some "told you they can't do it :smugfavre:" shyt, you're kidding yourself.

So...Jamarcus is the problem as SAS blamed, not those white SAS ignored and said nothing about for wrongly thinking that way, right? They hold ZERO responsibility for being fukked up in the head ....ONLY Jamarcus.

so not actually posting SAS opinion fully then saying what you disagree with in his opinion isnt a lil stupid?

arguing over a show you claim you dont watch but steady saying how said person is "c00ning" is not stupid?

Reb, you're arguing to argue. SAS and Skip acknowledged where the black QB position has come from and the challenges, thus them saluting the fact there were 9 starting on Sunday. SAS simply made the point that Jamarcus came out as what was supposed to be the drop back passing black qb, was taken #1 but his antics pushed media/public perception back to where it had been before. His whole spiel abt the white media not acknowledging the minds of these guys and only their athleticism addressed their fukked up frame of thought.

:rudy: man whatever I'm all about having biracial dudes identifying as such but politically colin is black and identifies as such. This thread isn't about that. :camby: Keep it moving.

Hey breh I'm just saying you shouldn't let white people define and tell you what your race is. Many black populations do not. Whites value purity and bias away anything that isn't pure, but blacks do the same thing in many places outside the USA. Asians typically do the same thing. You think you're advocating "unity" but you are really advocating division.

It was RG3 that really stuck it in these cac's heads that athletic blacks can pass the ball.

ask yourself why screaming a would be mentioning jamarcus russell within the context of successful black qbs on rosters now...other than race how does jamarcus connect to these working black qbs????...stephen appears to be trying to lower expectations of employed black qbs by including jamarcus in the discussion...like: yeah these new black qbs are good but:whoa: remember:jawalrus:...i could be wrong about stephen doe--:manny:...

I'm arguing to argue? I'm saying is a shyt argument to place accountability on Jamarcus and not those who carry those sentiments. "I blame Jamarcus for _______________" SAS leaves NO ROOM, VITRIOL OR ARGUMENT for whites that use the guilty by association thing.

You want to be patted on the back for the pointing out the "And if you think Jamarcus didn't have whites sitting back on some "told you they can't do it" shyt, you're kidding yourself." As if we're all like :ohhh: and don't know that already.

What's funny to me is that nobody discusses how Black QB's have finally had a generation to have a somewhat FAIR shot at the position, and now we are seeing guys like Bridgewater, Geno Smith, etc who are mainly POCKET passers. Not that there's anything wrong with being a mobile QB, but before if you were black you didnt have a great chance at being a pure pocket passer(Moon, but that's almost it).

:snoop:

9 African AMerican quarterbacks starting week 1. Is this the golden age? He blamed Jamarcus Russell and said athleticism is the reason why so many are starting today.

:whoa: I don't watch First Take anymore but are you paraphrasing?

I'm sorry...but justifying the blacks are guilty by association of a shared hue is garbage

If SAS said that Jamarcus Russell set black QBs back then he is viewing Black QBs through the same racist lens that the NFL brass does.

The same lens that thought they relied more on instincts than intelligence

The same lens that questioned their leadership skills and thought they would be better off converting to safety

The same lens that viewed Black QBs as either exceptional or garbage, which expedites their exit out of the league and allows their white counterparts to earn millions as a career backup...

How could he as a black man make Jamarcus Russell's performance indicative of all black QBs.

The only thing Jamarcus set back was himself.....Stephen A losing it since he started cashing them big boy checks from ESPN

Answer the question is this or is this not the "golden era" of black qbs? If so what exactly is golden about it? Matter fact why are we even discussing the color of qbs?

thats not how it came across tho, he brought up Jamarcus cuz he was talking about black qb perception...they are perceived as good cuz they are athletic, Jamarcus was supposedly supposed to be a drop back qb that broke the perception but his actions placed black qb perception back where it was thus the reason a lot of these young QB's have their athleticism discussed first when he'd like to see them simply discussed as good QB's. But I'm done, I don't like SAS more than the next person and sometimes enjoy throwing people in the c00n pile as well, but when I sat home and saw the debate and see the argument mis-reported here, I had to clarify. Y'all can continue to see it how you want

I'm not looking for any pats on the back, Im really just relaying the argument SAS made and it wasn't on some c00n shyt :manny:
