If someone says something racist, would you question why there would be backlash from racial minorities? If someone says something misogynistic, would you question why there would be backlash from women? You're entitled to opinions others find offensive; but that doesn't mean those other people have to accept it.
Also, I hope you're this vehement about opposing lesbians![]()

So you agree that the backlash from Coli members regarding my posts is because they are secretly gay themselves, so when I say something against gay folks, they are taking it personally because they are gay?
Thanks for proving my point.
And also, we all are entitled to our opinions. I agree. And my opinion is, this stuff is foolishness. Thank you for once again proving my point.![]()
No, I'm saying that of COURSE there are gay men in the NFL...
But they're keeping it to themselves.
I mean, really? Why is it that gay atheletes, Michael Sams, Jason Colins, feel the need to be congratulated on who they're sleeping with?
What's up with that?
how many athletes do you see that have to put it out there that, "Yes, I sleep with women, I like women, I love women" etc etc.
Why does it need to be shoved in everybody's face?
And then when you run across someone that doesn't agree with it, they have to be forced to apologize and shuck and jive and talk about how "they didn't mean it" and give a million dollars to lgbt organizations.
Whats with the pressure?
If you wanna be gay, go be gay.
If I wanna be straight, Imma be straight.
But why do you have to put your gayness in my face and try to force me to accept it, and congratulate you, and berate me if I don't wanna deal with it?
The fact that you're tryna force it on me makes me even moreabout it.
I noticed you skipped my questions because you are troll and have no real discussion to add other than to call people gay that don't agree with your illogical statement. So I'm going to put you in the red and its obvious that's where you will stay.

1. Keeping it to themselves? How do you know players aren't aware of their non-straight teammates?

2. You said the problem with having gay men shower with straight men is that they could "possibly be attracted to each other, and it opens the door for harassment, indecent public behavior and just a bunch of other stuff."
But if gay and bisexual men have already been showering with straight men, and there haven't been any of the issues you named, why would Michael Sam be any different? Him going public with his sexual orientation somehow makes him more prone to predatory behavior and less inclined to be a disciplined professional?![]()
Ironically, threads like this contribute to why an athlete coming out is such a big deal, tbh. Gay athletes help combat oppressive, socially constructed standards of behavior we have in our culture regarding sexual orientation. As long as there are people who think gay people can't shower with straight people without sexual harassing them, there will be an outpouring of support whenever someone comes out of the closet![]()

That's true. I don't know. But by that same token, you can't say for sure that they ARE aware.

So let me ask you this: if it's okay for gay men that ARE attracted to men, to shower with men; then why isn't it okay for straight men who are attracted to women, to shower with women?
I would like to know your honest response to that.
What have I said that's oppressive? So for me to say that I don't agree with homosexuality, that's "oppressive"?
So if I don't agree with someone smoking cigarettes, I'm all of a sudden "oppressing" them?![]()
