Math often tried to play him out like he was his bodyguard, so it’s interesting to see that was far from the truth.

Math used Bigga for security, and used Hynaken and Esso for guests and business connects. He’s using Mecca to get guests as well. Not paying people for their time and effort is inexcusable when you’re bringing in that amount of revenue.
What amount?

Hate to say it because he seems like he good dude….. But… when he starts talking I try and FFW.

On one hand I agree. On the other hand I liked how it leaned into the barbershop dynamic. IE the guy who sits in the back, doesn't add anything to the conversation for ages until he finally speaks up with the most insane or profound thing you've heard all year.

All he did was tell the guests "I was a child who grew up listening to you" and then start an argument about Satan. I'm gonna miss Bigga the Man of God

All this is true

:russ:

Got me waiting for pearls of wisdom from man of god then I end up like

I haven't watched a lot of Bag Fuel because it leans into hustler/business content I don't really care for, but I like this Bigga interview. I haven't gotten to the part where mentions creating his own show but I kinda feel like he should join Bagfuel. And when Mecca inevitably gets canned, he should join too. These guys can easily re-create what made MEO special. Their chemistry is so good. To the point that guests are secondary.

Take a page from the Budden podcast: you don't need guests in every episode. Or if you do have guests every episode it shouldn't be the main focus of the entire thing. These guys should be able to shoot the breeze for damn near an hour before any guest arrives.
Champ is the only guy I like on the current MEO crew. The other guy with the hat in the back who isn't Mecc is annoying, ignorant and generally uninteresting. I dont even know his damn name.

Facts, the kid and play episode was really good and Mecca carried that…the show imo is actually better when Math ain’t there and guest is decent.
I noticed Math is not there when it's usually lyricists or a hip-hop history based act..
When Mecca gets a chance to shine with real hip hop questions on a persons comeup, Math is not there..

As they said on a different interview (i think Jaz, I'm not sure) people only want the end results but you can see Mecca wants to talk about how a person got to where they are..

Need to hear the perspective of Space Ghost, didn’t Math show get hot and Queenzflip start to decline after he switched between podcasts? Could just be coincidence but I remember the very early days of Math’s show.

Moral of the story - money always comes into it. I’ve learned the hard way that when starting business with friends or anyone, the first things to agree are roles and responsibilities and the associated breakdown of the bread so there are no issues later on. A model with a standard salary per role then % breakdown of profits/dividends works best. Everyone will make sacrifices to begin with then when the money starts coming in all have differences of opinion, nobody right or wrong but it’s just never discussed or agreed. Better to do so before the money comes

It's crazy he left, thought he was Math's dude outside the podcast. Shows to me Math a foul dude but it is what it is.

Math gets good interviews but was better with Esso and Hynaken. The new dudes just don't have it to me and are boring on cam.
Nah Esso was hella annoying and the fat nikka always came off as a lame.

Hynaken said it’s well over $100k per month and that was back when he was on the show. He saw the numbers at the time.

Show had a good balance of grit and gloss brought by Esso's style and Spaceghost production. Since they've left it doesn't feel the same

My question .... How did they get this interview... Did Sean reach out to them?
Probably, I know when they left he wanted them all to come back together and he faught for that.

Facts it was like a good combo. Esso added a certain element to it though he cut people off too at times that's cause he was learning.

When I think about Bigga did help them in some ways. He got into it with Tek and Steele which went Viral, he challenge Troy Ave, got Tony Yayo to focus on life experiences and not so much street shyt.

Also Math said he would respond

The payment he sent was for Bigga's security but not Bigga himself.
