Harlem party boy dancer and grimey Brooklyn drug dealer don’t even sound right together

Lmfao. What a trash post. Newsflash. 90% of the doc is legit common knowledgeI don’t think this is a good documentary nor was it structured very well but I can see why people are enamored with the sensationalism factor surrounding it. The producers didn’t give any balance to his evil or the story of how, they just glossed over it and spent most of the time showing clips of those people interviewed had buyers remorse with the same motive.
The documentary would have been more credible with those who didn’t have an axe to grind. Like others have said in the thread,if you’re a younger head you might enjoy the sensationalism of it. For us older heads who read these stories since the early days of AHH/SOHH/TheColi, everyone knows that Puff was shady and definitely being protected by higher ups.
The business is no different than any other industry in America that is rife with corruption. If you think bodies haven’t been dropped behind Fortune 500 & S&P 500 companies then I’ve got a bridge to sell you. Final thought, Puff is a terrible friend who was enamored with terrible people who thought he would treat them better than his friends before Them only to end up hurt because it happened to them.
RIP to Tupac. The only one who saw right from the jump and if he didn’t align with Suge, he’d be alive today.
@ “Peace Tour” in Cali..dead:That implication is completely wrong. Pac himself talked about other people inviting him to the studio. I believe it was Henchman that was connected to Pac that he is referring to as being "some rough characters" that he knew. Puff wasn't involved in inviting him. And why would Puff invite him to somewhere where him and all his artists are going to be, where they all had drugs and guns on them upstairs. That's just putting heat on his biggest artist for no reason. Puff was supposedly being extorted too so the Pac shooting could've easily been a warning to Puff as well. Puff's dirty as hell but I think he's clean on that one.

Can you take us back to that night at Quad Recording Studios in Times Square?
The night of the shooting? Sure. Ron G. is a DJ out here in New York. He’s, like, “Pac, I want you to come to my house and lay this rap down for my tapes.” I said, “All right, I’ll come for free.” So I went to his house—me, Stretch, and a couple other homeboys. After I laid the song, I got a page from this guy Booker, telling me he wanted me to rap on Little Shawn’s record. Now, this guy I was going to charge, because I could see that they was just using me, so I said, “All right, you give me seven G’s and I’ll do the song.” He said, “I’ve got the money. Come.” I stopped off to get some weed, and he paged me again. “Where you at? Why you ain’t coming?” I’m, like, “I’m coming, man, hold on.”
Did you know this guy?
I met him through some rough characters I knew. He was trying to get legitimate and all that, so I thought I was doing him a favor. But when I called him back for directions, he was, like, “I don’t have the money.” I said, “If you don’t have the money, I’m not coming.” He hung up the phone, then called me back: “I’m going to call [Uptown Entertainment CEO] Andre Harrell and make sure you get the money, but I’m going to give you the money out of my pocket.” So I said, “All right, I’m on my way.” As we’re walking up to the building, somebody screamed from up the top of the studio. It was Little Caesar, Biggie’s [the Notorious B.I.G.] sideman. That’s my homeboy. As soon as I saw him, all my concerns about the situation were relaxed.
That was a whole storyline on Making Da Band. All the members but Sara signed that shyt immediately. She said she wanted to wait to get a lawyer to review it and everybody else pressured her into signing right then.Babs was dumb as hell. I wouldn't sign that shyt!
Club shooting was made to look like it was Shynesome of that shyt been circling hip-hop cricles for years.
I'm from the bay, and even back then i heard the theories that he was involved in both pac/big deaths directly/indirectly.
there's shyt the doc covered we didn't widely know about...but these following ones were heard about prior to the doc:
the club shooting was big news in the late 90's
the lox trying to get off bad boy
the j cole incident
cudi incident
stout/hate me now
i remember on SOHH someone posted excerpts from Mark Curry's book
This was all over MTV News at the time including the altercation with Stoute.Club shooting was made to look like it was Shyne
Let the LOX Go campaign was business as I stated before
J Cole and Cudi incidents I personally didnt hear about until recently and on the internet
Hate Me Now video I heard about getting pulled but don’t remember hearing about him whooping Stout, most likely something else that was talked about on the internet at the time
The book you’re talking about…you read about on SOHH…the internet.
You just proved my point, these things weren’t out like that for public knowledge and the things that were public was all business related. Puff was looked at like he was a bad business man and in the wrong place at the wrong time, plain and simple
