Just cause you dont pay someone doesnt give them rights to resell or repurpose the footage. Legally that only gives them the right to sue you for non payment. Netflix can absorb a 100 million dollar lawsuit. 50 getting played by them and aint realized it yet.

Netflix still has to do their legal due diligence. It's like if a artist releases a song without knowing the producer used a sample. Doesn't matter. The artist still gets sued and has to pay up.
