Are there any examples of a media platform being sued for releasing information someone else leaked to them?

Record label shyt is different because you're dealing with copyrighted material. Photos and videos taken with consent gets alot murkier in the court room, especially when you're dealing with media.

They're saying it was a sub contractor that leak it, well maybe thats the guy who wasn't paid. When you hire someone to walk around filming you and he doesn't get paid, the ownership of that material is in the air.
Not sure why you keep calling Netflix a media platform like its youtube or something that deals with users who can accidentally upload copyrighted material. Netflix is responsible for everything it releases. The videographer admitted he was under contract with Diddy, So any footage he took was subject to that contract so Diddy owns the rights to the footage whether its in his direct possession or not.

Just cause you're in possession of footage or someones property doesn't give you the rights to resell or repurpose it. If your laptop broke and you brought it the geek squad at best buy to fix. If best buy used a subcontractor to work on your laptop the sub cannot just sell your laptop cause best buy didn't pay them. A subcontractor doesn't have rights to anything and they are hired to do a specific job and fall under the bounds of the primary contract.

As great as the doc was it’s downright criminal gene deal wasn’t in it. The doc is basically a curated produced version of all his interviews the last decade.

His new art of dialogue interview is basically the bonus dvd to the doc. He fills in a lot of gaps and adds more detail. Ie I never knew Puff owed Wolf too.

And a lot of sound bites he’s given over the years would be viral right now. Ie when he said Puff said ‘I don’t care if Pac gotta die. I don’t care if Big gotta die. I can’t keep living like this’

The funeral shyt being false makes the entire doc look questionable imo. They couldnt fact check that before putting it in:what:

I get your point, but there is a point where the part owner of Badboy was saying Diddy was suggesting changing stuff in the contracts after Big died, so the estate could just be clueless on how he did it.

its not false, the documentary never said Biggie's estate was sent an invoice for a funeral which is what they denied

Probs slyly came out of a royalty check or something so they wouldn't know

As annoying as Tourè can be, THIS is why we need to respect and listen to those who came before us. There are ppl out here who know the truth (about many things) and we need them to set the record straight.

More importantly...check multiple sources. And also important check biases of the expose' piece.

Mofos watch/read more than one review when they purchase something. Mofos don't believe everything conservative media puts out and even looks at some liberal media sideways...

...But many folks are treating a Netflix documentary like a diss track so facts be damned. A common reply on social media is stop defending Diddy because he did XYZ...so the diss documentary is going hip hop and it's being seen as battle rap.
