See this is one of my (many) gripes with social media. Some people in life you weren't meant to keep in touch with IMO. And reading someone's statuses isn't keeping up with them either. Communication is so impersonal now.

as to your question, i'm using a foreign phone with an anoying spell check and my job requires me to move to a different country every three to four years, so social media helps me keep in touch with people i grew up with as well as people i got to know along the way.

Black people are the biggest content generators for damn near everything, from music to social media to movies. Everything that makes money incorporates the swag of black people, because everyone else LACKS it. The only race close are Latinos, and that's precisely because of our blood in theirs. shyt isn't a mystery. We are the most creative and industrious people on this planet, and all of that is leeched off of us to enrich everyone else.

This is the problem. I’m weird for wanting privacy? I’m neither of the above, I just don’t like people in my business. That goes for friends, family, and certainly Penelope from the second grade.

It’s to the point where people without social media are weird! Not the people efollowing people, having your information probed and you being targeted for everything you post, having a record of everything you say/post on their platform saved, having random ass people be able to google you, etc.

Well that's not true for me. Quite the opposite actually. For both men and women. Notice I said light use of social media not none. I'm talking people with only close family and friends no co-workers or aquantances on mine. Not a daily user either... Only post when necessary not to say what I had for breakfast.

Only extremely insecure people get some kind of high from people liking the photos/stories they share. Social media is for attention seeking weirdos. Unless you're using it for a business, there's basically no purpose to it outside of fishing for validation from people who really don't give a fukk about you.

That's why social media is so popular. Everybody is insecure about something, and you get to control the content to limit the world's exposure to your insecurities.

All social media works like this that's why you gotta stay light on it. I make very low use of facebook since it's inception. I remember living with a girl when social media started popping up and watching it consume her life... shyt was ugly. I currently know a coked out IG model that everyone thirsts over in my city and her online life n persona is amazing but her real life is trash. I get to see the non curated social media real life bullshyt and it ain't pretty. She's lonely and sad.
