Yea somebody gotta go. I do kinda wonder if Payton risks losing the team by firing Vance though. It'll be an obvious scapegoat firing from a guy who has talked a lot of big shyt without delivering on anything. Players see through that shyt. If this was week 7 sure, I'd get it. Fire somebody going into a bye week and make changes. But this is week 3. You're basically ceding the season at this point, and if the players sense that they'll tune out even more than they already are.

I think Payton knew it was gonna be a long rebuild and was looking to scapegoat Russ, he's been publicly shytting on him basically since training camp if not sooner. You can't get a 70 piece dropped on your head and walk away from it
