In 1973, the DEA was set to arrest Matthews. Nothing is known of his disappearance, however rumors has it that he was arrested and paid bail then disappeared and others say he fled the scene before the arrest. At the time, Matthews allegedly took 15–20 million dollars with him and fled the country, and was never seen again.

I remember seeing the preview for this movie the night of the Colorado shooting and they showed a scene where they go into a movie theatre and shoot it up

The final scene was supposed to be that one in the original trailer with the gangsters gunning their enemies down from behind the screen while they were watching a movie.

Had to change it entirely after the Aurora shooting.
