Sean Peyton called a timeout while a TO was being reviewed. Anyone know why?

Aikmen said so the officials can have more time to review the play, but that doesn't make any sense?

I have never seen a coach do something like that.

An official review is an official review, the timeout could be just for more time to bytch about it. Is it smart ? It is if you win your case.

Wake.
Refs only have 60 seconds to review turnovers. With Payton calling the timeout that time was extended.

why would that time be extended?

It still doesn't make much sense.

it was the first half, so the timeout is virtually meaningless. he wanted to make sure they looked at if the runner was down by contact, and not just if he fumbled out of the end zone, which would have been a major swing. the potential reward far outweighed the worthless first half timeout

why wouldn't they review that anyway if they are trying to get the call right?

he probably wanted to insure that the refs looked at it, since it was way upfield. who knows what the refs are going to look at, take the worthless timeout to make your point known. it was a huge swing
