Definitely the people who made the show thought he committed that.

The show painted him very sympathetic but since he was a cop, I'm always a little skeptical

They make it look like he did one thing wrong one time.. now he's dead we'll never know but I wouldn't be surprised if that was just the only thing they had evidence on
