Develop a love for good food, natural juices (carrot/tomato) and landscape breh.

I'm a huge hip-hop head, and listen to quite a lot of rock...but I found out this last year that jazz/blues is the better genre for really relaxing and slowing time down for a bit. I also quit smoking for six months now and drinking too.

I live somewhat next to the beach so whenever I have the time I just get some nice take-away food, get a bottle of carrot juice, my ipod and go watch the sunset by myself or something. Part of my therapeutic "me" time.

Well are you looking for an actual solution or do you just want to bytch about it online? Seems like every solution someone threw at you you shot it down.
I LOVE drugs, but when I take my time out to get sober that's how I do it. Find what you like outside of getting drunk/high.
Not bytching breh, just saying...

Reading? I'm in the IT field, I read enough already

Exercise? I'm also In the military, I exercise 4-6 days a week and sometimes twice a day

Hiking? I hate it, and also mentioned before that I hurt my leg (from being in military) so most of my long distance bullshyt is done... Which is a blessing and a curse


So I appreciate your advice though it just seems a lil irrelevant. I actually dislike most drugs, I just need an escape temporarily. I've lost interest in mostly everything that requires me being sober EXCEPT working out

I felt real dumb after a while just escaping through substances knowing I'll come back to the "real world" and need those substances again if I don't just man up and MAKE the real what you want it to be...

You the only one that can see through those eyes, hear those thoughts... You're limited by your own imagination. Do a complete detox, what's the worst that can happen? You on hear posting which means it can't be TOO bad... I've fought depression myself... I'm on here as well.. As long as you're not suicidal and all that you can fight, you got some fight in ya.

HEAVY smoker. I average about an eighth a week smoking alone

No offense but you know those 5 packs of backwoods? During my depression times, I'm smoking two 1 gram blunts to my face in a day.... You ain't a heavy smoker and should be proud that you're not. It don't benefit anyone but the dealers.

My advice wasn't irrelevant, my examples were.
You don't like reading, exercising or hiking but you still need to find something to give you that natural high.
Or you could just shut up and keep drinking :yeshrug:

Sportsbike ? Since you can't exercise that is.

Open that throttle up on the onramp of a freeway or on an open road on a weekend and see if it doesn't wake up all of your senses.
