So you don't think they have a set rationale, say modern history and culture, that determines where they draw their outline? Land geography is irrespective of human factors that determined the grouping so why would one claim Egypt is in the Middle East geographically?

The middle east is defined arbitrarily as a region of the world and it is not a continental land mass with clearly-defined borders. You can argue it's definition is Eurocentric, and I will agree. The only thing I'm claiming is what it is commonly thought to be. And going by the commonly-held conception of the middle east, Egypt is part of it, and that is not in dispute. Do some people consider Egypt not part of the ME? Sure. That's because it's an arbitrarily defined region. The problem is you are sitting here saying it's not conventionally considered part of the middle east, and that is bullshyt.

At first, you said "Egypt isn't part of the middle east it's part of Africa" because you ignorantly thought the middle east was geographically Eurasian. It's not. It's arbitrarily defined for geopolitical reasons.

That being said, the commonly held majority view is that Egypt is part of the middle east and I will prove it right now.
