we were. 7 straight national titles. most NFL drafts picks year in and year out. the last 10 years have been dominated by the SEC.

hence the reason everyone in the country is so happy this year. when you've been on top for as long as we have, resentment grows.
:laff:Tennessee needed OT to beat Appalachian State.

BAMA IS THE ONLY TEAM WORTH A DAMN.

South Side Chicago to Nola

Some was him some was the defense, and just god awful luck, in the second half, how many passes did Rosen throw, that were terrible reads and got bailed out, the one td, that flew through the cb hands, the td to the front corner of the end zone where tamu db damn near got to the ball but the wr just made a play, the td that won it, kid was bobbling the ball the whole way

Kevin is clearly shytting the bed, but I'm not sure what's the solution, but it's not like tamu had a tradition of national championships, board needs to relax

another case of a delusional, excitable fan base with unrealistic expectations...but they are in texas, so things are a lil different there.

the premise of the thread may have been off, but the sec did fall off in 2014. bama was doing the lions share in the few years leading up to that too, but theyve been completely carrying the conference since then. now during 2006-2013, the sec had at least 2 national title caliber teams and had other ranked teams that were capable of winning multiple other conferences.

since then the defenses havent been as good and more than that there hasnt been another team that hasnt been a team that has had the qb play and defense like there was prior to that other than bama. having said that, the sec was still probably the best conference in 2014 and 2015. last year however is when id say the big ten and acc were better, bama was the only 10 win team in the entire conference.

Nobody's arguing with the last couple of years. The usual suspects in the West are coming back. It's up to the East to get back up to the standard. It was at an all-time high when a team from the East was playing great. Georgia might be that now. We'll see. Florida doesn't have a dependable quarterback right now, so they can't be trusted until further notice. Tennessee will have to show something tonight if they want to be considered. You need a good to great QB to be considered these days.

SEC is still the toughest though, from just an overall talent perspective. Nobody is matching that right now. Big Ten might be the closest.

The Michigan/Florida game might have given them a false sense.....Florida might be the #5 team in the SEC this year at best.
