I'm usually with you guys on how wack ESPN is and how they take hyperbole and dikkriding too far, BUT if you're being honest, USC is the greatest college football team of all-time. I just think they're telling it like it is really. This is a team that has earned that level of hype.
It took an act of God by Vince Young to defeat them. 9/10 USC beats Texas by two touchdowns.
9/10 Reggie Bush doesn't go to backyard football and pitch the ball backwards running full speed.
The 2002 Miami Team that lost to Ohio State is still one of the greatest teams ever and they did not win. It happens. Still doesn't negate their greatness.

Y'all do know this SEC pride is something writers created and fans just rolled with it cause hype and conference strength=greater title opportunities. Again like it's been stated a million times before no one roots for their rival but in the nature of cfb SOS matters so why wouldn't you want your conference to be considered the strongest. I bet Okie St wish the Big 12(10?) was considered stronger. They woulda played for the ship last year. But since the SEC is considered top by writers everyone else is at a disadvantage
