Acc looked like the most dominant during regular season, while SEC looked weakest. But there are 3 sec teams in the elite 8 and only 2 acc team. Weird how that works. No way to know how conferences will perform during tourney

Ben Howland is doing a great job recruiting at Miss State, they got like eight 4* players the past 2 years. They should be good soon. Bryce Drew at Vandy doing a good job too.

UNC is the only ACC team left.

But yeah, some teams are built for the tourney and/or get into tourney form uickly. Others aren't...
... during the Big East's heyday, it just seemed those teams were built to get to the 16 and beyond... big, lengthy, athletes playing bully ball ... that grinding, gritty style.

...but the regular season isn't a foolproof, reliable indicator to determine who will go deep by any means.

SEC basketball coaching is on a huge uptick... that's for sure.
