Flacco has been a above average QB his whole career. His lucky performance in the playoffs last year, although it got them a ring, will doom them. He's not that good. They are sacrificing both offensive and defensive talent to pay this guy. And...he's not really worth it

You people seem to forget that Denver beat us last year as well. I didn't agree with sacrificing what we did in order for him to get the money he got but I'm not going to act like we're in trouble after only one game. When we're 0-4 maybe then I'll start to worry but until then I'll just take the L and look forward to our next game.

Flaccos money is not relevant to the situation.....other QB will eclipse him per usual as the market is still rising.



1st half our offensive line was solid. The whole game we kept dropping balls once jacoby went out. PLUS WE LOOKED WINDED IN THE 3RD QUARTER.

we can fix the conditioning and communications issues. We looked good in spurts.....but conditioning was a big factor/visible.

Not that its a huge salary cap hit, but once they gave Hailmary Joe that $$ and got rid off all those starters, they basically said:

"This is your team, Joe"

Anyone who watches him play, you realize that he is a pretty good QB, but in no way can put a team on his back. Hell, even my girl understands his technique of either 1.) throwing it deep to Torrey (for a PI or a reception) 2.) Check down to Ray Rice. My man got hella lucky in the playoffs and got paid- which is great- but when you look at his season #'s, its hard to say that this guy is elite.


That being said, Flacco was not the reason they lost... It was the depleted defense that the Ravens are saying is 'better' than last years. It was also the bum ass WR corp they left poor 'Hailmary Joe' with...

hes taking up 6% of his teams cap, the hell you talking about? most other franchise QB's have a hit around 15M, his is less than half that

Suggs, Ngata and Yanda (a guard) all make more. all really good players but it is what it is

ozzie couldnt resign all/most of them cause it would greatly effect their cap the year after & beyond
