Might of been in TexasI remember that dentist in the early 90s who was giving everyone hiv. He was being sloppy not sterilizing and cross contaminating stuff.
....Florida Evans style....
Among them, a container "overflowing with dirty needles," bloody gauze on the floor, a sink crusted over with grime and dirt, and a "hand piece that goes directly into the patient's mouth lying on an extremely dirty floor."
Wait what do you mean unwrap? You telling me when they get that mirror and poker out of a new package that ain't new?As a ex dental worker I know how it goes and this has happened but luckily it wasnt no disease.
What happens and it just takes 1 person to fukk over everyone is that who ever is sterilizing or is responsible for it will make the mistake and depending how big the machine is several cassettes will not be properly clean and ur not gonna know once u unwrap it either unless it's really bad left over residue.
I wont say who what where this happen but know it got caught in my case cuz either it was me or another person knew real quick that cassette was just barely down there due to a certain color to 2 of the instruments and man it was bad
Even tho I didnt cause it I had to call all the patients to let them know what happened and I got cursed out like no other and all I could do was apologize
New restrictions was implemented after that

I could have sworn I seen them take it out of a package tho like when you open a plastic spoon and napkin packet. Or are they washing them then air sealing them?No it gets sterilized completely
Some use disposable but the cost adds up to much so dentist use instruments and hygienist then sterilize it in machine same shyt for doctors doing surgery
The machine does its job and completely sterilizes the instruments
Before it even goes in it gets washed in a machine then dried then wrapped then sterilized
Once sterilized it's safe to use no cross contaminant
