Maybe she didn't have an answer? Just say something nice, keep it positive and keep it moving. When they see you with somebody else they'll do anything to be with you. Just keep it simple, keep her gassed up and you'll be alright.

I had a girl do something similar to me this past school year. We always had good convos with each other even when we were first getting to know each other, but she was a little flakey, as well as unresponsive when it came to texting; I finally decided to fall back and K.I.M. when she pulled some dumb shyt and flaked studying with me a few days before a huge midterm -- I legit was hoping she'd help me with some of the material, plus she wasted my time big time by flaking last minute.
So she does some BS text apology, and I don't even trip aside from being a little heated about wasting a little bit of studying time. I had two classes with her, but in both, I would have other people to sit with or I'd be walking in right as class started and take a seat wherever I could. We'd still occasionally see each other, and I'd always shoot a smile just to be nice.
Before long, there was another midterm for the second class we shared, and she finally texted me talking about how sorry she was, and how she had some study guides from past quarters that she wanted to share with me, to which I told her thanks and also what email address she could send em to.
I didn't think I'd ever end up being actually cool with her again, but I was never mad -- I kinda knew her, I couldn't be too hung up on someone I wasn't that close with. We ended up connecting again when she caught up with me while I waited for the bus, and made an effort to talk to me while also apologizing again, this time in person. I started talking to her again after that; shes definitely just a friend, but anyone who goes out of their way to be that apologetic is at the very least someone I should try to be cool with. Plus she's doing the same major.
