One of my Truck Driver friends sent me this picture this morning. 22 stops, all have to be delivered by 4pm

People got bills to pay in the real world man. How could one just quit.

Ok guess I gotta explain

When you do trucking, driving for 11 hours a day is stressful enough, hand unloading the freight adds to more fukk shyt. Which is why labor intensive trucking jobs like food delivery, construction materials, furniture delivery, etc usually pay high because of it. Ain't really the labor, but the stress is high as fukk

Driving that big ass truck then opening that trailer so see that shyt would make a nikka be like

I worked a part-time gig at a department store where we unloaded trucks and sorted the shyt as we took it off. I couldn’t imagine driving a truck full of random delivery shyt.

I would not have taken that truck off the dock before I sorted it in some shape or form.

At least with the addresses on the side I can read them.

still don't get it. was it supposed to be empty? what exactly is his job? I thought truck drivers were supposed to transport shyt inside the trailers. is going on?

I THINK that because its unorganized that means the driver (who is only supposed to deliver and unload) will have to waste time organizing the packaging to make sure that he delivers all the correct boxes to the correct businesses. If everything has to be done by 4pm and say he clocked in to get ready driving at 9am, he might have to spend up to an hour categorizing those boxes, thus throwing him off schedule
