Yup, the haptics, and adaptive triggers are clearly beyond what's been out before. Some people will try to say it's nothing more than joy-cons or box rumble triggers but each person who's actually used it with the PS5 says it's way better and is way more in-depth.

This isn't the triggers rumbling, there's actually an active resistance towards the player pushing the trigger down. This is just one of many ways the adaptive triggers work. If it was just "rumble triggers" and more rumble nobody wouldn't be talking about it in-depth like this. Especially if the other console had the same feature 'already'.
