People bytch but do not concoct solutions. The first step is to do away with the excessive violence so people with some money can feel comfortable moving in. However, collude with other homeowners to keep home prices low for the current residents while raising the value to pay more in taxes to go towards the schools. Maybe the community can have fundraisers just for the school's sake and not towards athletics. Not even big money, even though people faithfully blow $50+ at clubs religiously, and match the taxes on a pair Jordans that these stupid parents buy .

You might have a valid point if we didn't have a long.......and I do mean LONG history of cacs demonizing blacks every chance they got.

You are right and I agree. However, especially in the black communities, good parenting is subjective and not objective. It is a huge cultural divide.

well, on this, i might disagree. i think "good parenting" is quite objective. nurture your children. feed them correctly. deny them junk food. make sure they take their vitamins and eat well. read to your children, which includes having a good amount of books in the household. introduce your children to computers and make sure, before they enter their teens, that they are proficient with computers and tablets. stay by your children when they're doing homework. help them, if they absolutely cannot answer a question, but try to coach them instead so that they're able to solve the problems on their own. do not allow your children to listen to any negative music or watch television shows that can taint their minds.

it's not rocket science, but too many black people in the hood don't do this. they just neglect their children, who end up repeating the same behavior when they become adults.

so, i really think it is pretty objective. there are basic rules to follow that will usually result in a child that matures in a healthy manner. this, unfortunately, is not the norm in the poorer black communities.

That's your definition of good parenting. I share the same sentiment but their are "parents" who definitely do the opposite and feel they are fit parents. We should arrest parents who do not do as you request? Fault them for not having adequate income to provide tools to enable them to pursue their unknown interests?
