Oh i wasnt saying you are wrong brother id have to look the details up about the regs but there is a age window for retirees recall, thats correct.

Enlisted retirées are kinda handled differently from on the O side just off the nature Of contracts.

How my TACs always explained to me is its due because we are allowed to resign our commissions at usually virtually anytime (our powers and authority are vested through the president) our window for recall is windened for the sake of national defense

Top can you shed any guidance on the topic?
@NatiboyB

When you look at an individuals DD 214 it will state rather a person can be recalled etc and who can recall them generally Secretary of the branch.

A lot of personnel who separate aren’t even eligible for recall due to their separation codes. While their service was honorable they may have a medical issue or was possibly discharged for the good of service.

The Department of the Navy (Marines) does some ole bs. To retire they want you to do 30 years. But at your 20 you can retire and be transferred to the fleet reserves. Where if needed they are more easily recallable.

this is for enlisted

for personnel who separate without retirement that have an IRR requirement 8 years they are subject to recall during that time. If they have a skill set that is needed greatly they have been recalled at times.

It could literally be WW 3 occurring and the odds of them recalling a 50% above VA disabled retiree whose likely already near 40 or over is slim to none. Now a guy who came in and learned how to be a cyber or ew specialist and got out after 4 years and don’t have health issues they are very likely to be recalled.

officers with honorable service are basically just subject to President Al recall the whole time. But I’ll be honest outside of a medical professional or a flag grade officer I wouldn’t hold my breath. If a person has a unique skill set or career experience they may be. Prime candidates for recall for something like this to me would be and the aviation planners UAS/cyber/EW/Intel types. Basically the secret squirrels and retired GOs who worked NATO.

Night of arrival might be the funniest single day you'll have in the military....AFTER the fact.
I remember on the bus from the airport to MCRD, you had some dudes praying and crying. Looking back, it was funny as hell but at the time, I was miserable! :mjcry:

Dawg, we had one whose wife would come to the drill pad in sports bra and tight as spandex shorts. All sweaty and shyt. I'd go out my way to give pleasantries. You could tell she loved that shyt. That nikka bust out the Drill office one day and berated the shyt out of me for always speaking to her. WTF he expect? :manny: I was OSUT and we had Xmas exodus and all in the middle so we was in a all male training unit for 5 months and NO bytchES. I hit the first bytch who even looked my way in Lawton when I finally got a pass. Oh yea, that nikka use to deny ALL of my phase privileges w/ no explanation up until may the weekend of graduation

Since equality is the name of the game and women can now serve in combat units, they're eligible for the draft to right? I know they don't have to sign up for Selective Service (which is f'd up).
