Classic. This song was a little before my time as far as listening to and understanding music goes, but in my teens I got to really feel it when it would pop up on Greatest Songs of All Time lists for Hip Hop.
I dont think today's MC's could pull this off with not only making a meaningful track but also having it sound good and not out of place with all the different acts involved.

We're all in the same gang was a better song imo...of course it was produced by Dr. Dre....the hook for Self Destruction was corny to me as a 12 yr old...but I liked what they were trying to do...but ""Gangsta Rap" literally killed that noise
