Imma make this real simple here's why
The Academic :
The self studied man (autodidactic) :
The self-study man is free of all the red tape and politics that handcuffs the academic. He doesn't have to play like he's objective if he doesn't want to or it doesn't make sense to.
Another examples Malcolm X you never attended University but was an excellent speaker, debater, and was free basically to say things that no academic could say or clergyman for that matter. Yet he resonated heavily with an acute portion of the black community.
Respect academics and data but don't be scared to take your gloves off and get your hands dirty...
And keep rockin'...
The Academic :
- The academic usually follows steps from one set of philosophy. That makes his approach mechanical and lethargic.
- Much of the time the academic hasn't actually went out and try to do any of the things he writes about or experience any of the things he talks about. He just reports through the lens of the method that he was taught in academia.
- Academics tend to hide their fear and apprehension and biases behind data in statistics. They and very good at faking objectivity.
The self studied man (autodidactic) :
- Simply put that failed this way to success. He knows what can work and what won't work because he's been there.
- The self-study man more than likely has his pulse what's going on NOW as opposed to relying on old data.
