I really, really don't like this bill.
On one hand, it is trying to cover up failures in our own education system by importing upper-class Indians and Chinese. We talk about not having enough jobs, yet we fail to educate enough doctors, nurses, engineers, programmers, etc., mostly because we ain't getting hardly any from the inner cities and rural areas. So work on getting THAT fixed.
Second, it would result in a huge flood of high-class Indian entries, which will cause a massive brain drain in that country. Something like 1/2 of Indian doctors have applied for a foreign visa. They have a massive population of poor people with health issues and very few doctors. I was hearing stats like a state with 8,000,000 people only has 8 psychiatrists total, another state with 200,000,000 people only has 140 psychiatrists. If even 10% of the population needs some sort of psychiatric help, that's 100,000 patients per doctor. So 99% of people don't get the help them need.
We don't need to drain all the resources from the poor people in the rest of the world. This is a really bad idea.
