Yup I was when I found out I could send gifs. I try to get the small versions to save data usage.

Some of them play in slow motion though, and I don't know how to stop that.

For instance, when I send

its played perfectly, but any size variant of

Anyone know a fix? I need that jb gif to work

my smiley and and gifs game are crazy right now on iMessage. people stay asking me where i get the "faces" from. Some of them shyts I just make myself (and use here on the board too) and some I take from other places. The gifs work reallllllllllly well but some of the smileys get cut off on the sides and even if you resize them in photoshop, it doesnt make a difference, which sucks

the gifs have to be manually fixed in photoshop if you wanna tweak the speed of them. as far as the smileys go, I've tried different methods of resizing but after a while I give up because its almost pointless to put in that much effort for such a small image

The speed is normal everywhere else, though. Just slow in iMessage. Still speed it up?

hmmmmm. might be the iphone trying to conserve space by compressing the image and affecting the speed. I've seen 8MB gifs that are too large (for me) to send thru imessage so I dont bother with them. I'll only send 1MB (at the most) gif because they will send slowly thru a regular phone connection. I usually send gifs when I'm on wifi because they send faster. Remember, when you send ish thru imessage, it still has to pass thru the Apple servers, identify the unique identifier for the phone you're sending to and then deliver it.
