Sentry vs Superman.

I think we can all admit, Superman was created just for these exact type of arguments. He's written to be able to just beat everybody as far as physical powers go. Like there is no check and balance for him. It's bullshyt. Whatever amount of punching power your need to fight somebody he has it. "Thanos, you got the infinity gauntlet...well i'ma just punch you hard as fukk and win".

Hey I can't even argue that on the Marvel side, but Superman is bullshyt to me because it's not like he's on that reality warping/magic shyt, he's basically just real strong. The Sentry in a purely physical fight has been at least checked by Hulk. Hulk has a check in a sense that if you overpower him in the beginning of a fight you can stop him then. Superman is like endless physical strength and punching power on deck at all times. I'll concede that giving the Sentry all types of reality warping and mental abilities is like trolling. It just seems like Superman always has +1 on that strength gage for a physical fight.

On the real, I used to hate him too, and honestly I can see why he is unlikable, he is 'too good'. It wasn't until Man of Steel that presented a flawed Superman that I liked him. I used to prefer Shazam and Green Lantern to him.

Man of Steel is your preferred version of Superman?

It was a realistic take for me. When you are different from everybody else, it is natural to be insecure and unsure of yourself and they displayed that well for me. I found the take refreshing, he's not Christopher Reeve Superman but if I want cheesy, classic Superman then 99% of other Superman media fulfill that criteria for me.

Not to mention they actually showed how much power he has on a live action film for the first time. And the soundtrack.

New 52 Superman is my favorite but Man of Steel made me like the character in the first place.
