this has always been the case to sell fights. I don't remember a time where theatrics wasn't a part of the buildup.

Not this fabricated, especially when the tone keeps changing. One minute they are having dinner together or a friendly interview, the next minute it's WWE level fake pushing and shoving. Add that to flaunting these random special edition championship belts, now a KO incentive, etc. It feels VERY WWE to me right now.

Boxing is in a great place right now. The talent pool is prolly the deepest it's been in over 15 years. Fights are doing better numbers across the board and it's being promoted like a major sport again. Don't see how hiring max kellerman is a desperation move. Boxing fans have been asking for him and lampley to be rehired for years and the networks never listened. So I can at least give Dana white props for that. They're actually listening to what boxing fans want.

And I don't see any fake beef here. Canelo and bud obviously respect eachother but at the same time they both have too much pride for it to remain respectful the whole way. Bud is too much of a hot head. Yesterday didn't seem staged at all. Bud wanted to let canelo feel his strength and you could tell canelo wasn't expecting it. No way he would agree to let bud walk him back like that .....this is only gonna get more testy as the fight gets closer.

Majority of people ive seen post about this on FB and Reddit and YouTube have commented that it looked contrived. I do agree that as it gets closer we will see it get far more testy.
