Before PlayStation 5 launches this holiday, we wanted to give you one more look at some of the great games coming to PS5 at launch (and beyond!).

Our next digital showcase will weigh in at around 40 minutes, and feature updates on the latest titles from Worldwide Studios and our world-class development partners.

Now we are pretty much in September it's time to predict what we'll get from Sony event wise in September.

Will it be a SoP or Future of Gaming?

Service/feature focused or game focused or both?

What will the date be?

My predictions:

1 hour long event in mid-Sept

Begins with:

• UI Reveal
• DualSense features shown within gameplay of Miles Morales, GT7 and Demon Souls
• Show off other first party peripherals

Goes into 3rd party stuff:

• COD MP
• RE8
• FIFA or some shyt
• FFXVI tease

Maybe we get some sizzle reel stuff of games coming day one.

Finishes with:

• Price/release date (450/500 in mid November)

What I don't think we'll see:

• Cross gen stuff (like Last of Us Factions for example)
• Lots of gameplay (will be in blog posts)
• BC or PsNow stuff (Sony will focus on dualsense and big name games)
• First or second party stuff with new game reveals
• Blow out gameplay of Miles Morales, Demon Souls etc (think this stuff will come either through blog posts/videos or a smaller SOP before launch)

It'll just be UI, DualSense, 3rd party and date/price imo.

I want to know exactly how BC is gonna work and if developers are gonna patch games released recently to take advantage of the new hardware. One thing I admire about Microsoft is how they got developers to make games look better on the One X, and I want that for my PS5 too, but I’m not holding my breath

New UI, some Demon’s Souls, Miles Morales gameplay

Price ($499, $599, probably)

I honestly think TLOU2 and GoT should have been pushed to release alongside the PS5, as launch exclusives, which would have been a death sentence for Series X

But most importantly I’m looking forward to shytting on xbots in The Arcadium with my fellow Sony stans
